Video Tape Repairs - The Process
We rescue as much video footage as we can and put it on an encoded DVD. This DVD will play on any computer and DVD player. Whenever possible we also repair the original damaged video cassette. We advise customers to only use the repaired video cassette when absolutely necessary - due to the fact that the tape has been spliced together and will never be as good as an undamaged cassette. Please note that we can only repair physically damaged tape and cassettes. We cannot fix bad tape recordings such as lines on the video, and video footage which is too bright or too dark.
If you have professional video tapes that need fixing such as DVcam and Umatic please get in touch with us for availability. Repair to professional tape formats costs £60 inc VAT.
Extra DVD Back UP Copies of your Video - £5
We strongly advise customers to order an extra DVD of their work. The cost is only £5. DVDs are easily scratched and damaged rendering them unplayable. An extra back up DVD is your insurance against such an occurrence.
Once you have paid for your order print out the receipt page and send it to us with your video work. If you prefer there is also a mail order video repair form for payment by cheque or credit card over the phone.
Editable Computer Files
If you request Editable Computer Files we send these out in place of the encoded DVD. There is no extra cost involved.
