Digital Photos from 35mm Mounted Slides - from 75p

Ridley Photographic Ltd (part of the Kodak Group) has invested thousands of pounds in a high speed, high specification, commercial Noritsu film scanner. The investment has paid off in terms of superlative, high quality slide scanning results.

The slide image is displayed on a computer screen before scanning and is tweaked for optimal colour balance, contrast and saturation. The scan is then put through Digital Ice which removes scratches and artifacts on the surface of the slide - the results are stunning.

Colour optimisation and Digital Ice Enhancement is done as as standard on every slide - FREE OF CHARGE.

We scan both 35mm and 120 Medium Format (MF) slide film. If you have unmounted 35mm slide film (typically cut into strips of 4 or 6) refer to the 35mm Negative Scanning Page for prices and ordering. If you need 120 Medium Format E6 scanning please contact us for a quote

35mm Slide Scans - File Sizes and Resolution

The scanned images are normally supplied as jpegs on CDs or DVDs depending on the quantity.

  • Standard Resolution Scans - The scanned slides are around 5mb when opened in photoshop - Good for printing up to A3. This option is what most people want and is suitable for many uses..
  • High Resolution Scans - Scanned image file is approximately 18mb when open and can be used to make A1 size prints
  • Slide Tiff Scanning - The file size is around 50mb.

Digital Photos from Slides
  • If you live close enough you are welcome to drop your slides off at our London Studios in Camden ( Map).
  • Pay Online and send your slides to us with the payment confirmation (preferred method)
  • Use the Mail Order Form. Post your slides to us - we will phone you for payment by card and confirm your scanning instructions at the same time
